Burgen Tennis Courts – Men’s & Women’s Tennis
Having combined for ten conference championships in a 12-year stretch to start the century, the Piedmont University men and women’s tennis programs play their home matches at Burgen Tennis Courts. Named in honor of former Piedmont trustee Nathan Burgen, the facility comprises of six hardtop courts completely fenced and have played host to several championship events including the 2010 GSAC Tennis Championship Tournament. Located on the hillside above the scenic Walker Athletic Complex, the courts provide a breathtaking view of both the campus and the surrounding mountain ranges. On the northeast side of the facility, court-level spectator seating is available while additional concrete terraced seating was added atop the hill above the courts providing a more encompassing view. Resurfaced regularly, these fully lighted tennis courts provide a tremendous playing surface for all competitors involved and make for one of the best tennis facilities in the entire South.
